Afternoon: Arrival and a First Stroll
Check-in is from 3:00 PM. If you arrive earlier, the front desk will store your luggage free of charge so you can head straight out for a walk.
Take pedestrian Madero Street heading west. Pass the Casa de los Azulejos, with its talavera-tiled façade, and continue to the Torre Latinoamericana, about 10 minutes from the hotel. On a clear day, going up to its observation deck at sunset gives you one of the best views of the Centro.
Then cross over to the Palacio de Bellas Artes, about 8 minutes from the hotel. Its dome and white marble look different in the afternoon light, and the Alameda Central, right across the street, is a lovely place to sit for a while.
